These are magic acts using sophisticated, large-scale apparatus and clever trickery, from optical illusions to misdirection, designed to baffle the audience.
Music, choreography and lighting are three essential complementary elements in this speciality.
Grand illusions are most often performed by troupes made up of a magician and one or more assistants.
